A brochure listing 313 species of birds that have been identified on or near Lake McConaughy. Compiled by with the assistance of Stephen J. Dinsmore of the Nebraska Ornithologists' Union. Includes several color illustrations of various birds.

7. Least Terns & Piping Plovers at Lake McConaughy

Information about least terns and piping plovers, designated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as endangered and threatened species, that nest on the beaches of Lake McConaughy. Facts about the birds' habits and tips on avoiding destruction of nests and/or chicks.

8. Reptiles and Amphibians of Lake McConaughy

A colorful brochure containing information about the many snakes, lizards, toads and frogs found in the Lake McConaughy area. Tips on identifying the various species.
